Alumni Reunions

In 2007, a Biennial Reunion was held on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Blue Cypress Hotel, 117, South Watson Road, Arlington, Texas 76010 of which the Nigeria group was represented by the following people:

  1. Eniola Ajayi
  2. Sola Bajulaye
  3. Yinka Kingsley-Otaru
  4. Muyiwa Awe

Also, in 2009, another Biennial Reunion of our set in North America was held between Friday, August 7 & Sunday, August 9, 2009 at Cobb – Marietta Coliseum & Exhibit Hall Authority located in the Renaissance Waverly Hotel & Resort, 2450 Galleria Parkway, Atlanta GA 30339.

Some far reaching decisions were taken at this reunion, which include:

  • The establishment of an endowment fund through scholarship awards to assist indigent but brilliant students of Christ’s School and Christ’s Girls’ School.
  • Date of official inauguration of the United Kingdom/Ireland Branch.
  • Having the Central Executive in Nigeria, headed by the President while the other two major branches (UK & North America) will have Chairmen. Also, having the General Secretary in Nigeria and Secretaries in other branches.
  • 30th Anniversary of our set to come up in Lagos and Ado-Ekiti between October 1 & 3, 2010. 
  • Emergence of the second set of North American Executives, viz:
    • Kayode Afolayan – Chairman
    • Jola Orimolade – Secretary
    • Ayo Oluleye – Treasurer
    • Kike Efunboade – Public Relations Officer

Jumoke Adamolekun was the only representative of the UK group at this reunion

The 2011 Biennial Reunion in North America was another interesting one. Dr. Kayode Fayemi, the Governor of Ekiti State who is a member of our set was invited from Nigeria by the Host to address the assembly which took place in Wingate by Wyndham Hotel, 1510 Aero Drive, Linthicum Heights, Maryland 21090, USA.

This reunion which was adjudged one of the best in terms of attendance and content has placed the set on a very high platform to enable us see the enormous task ahead of us as we continue to aid the general overhauling and total re-engineering of Head, Hand & Heart in our Alma Mater.
